Interpreting More than 40 languages
Interpreting is an oral transfer of information from one language to another. It is used at business negotiations, meetings, conferences, at formal or informal sessions.
The work of an interpreter demands promptness and swiftness, however there are lower demands for preciseness in comparison with a translator. The interpreter just cannot be too punctual, he/she must translate the core of the idea even with a slight simplification.
To be able to provide good service, each interpreter needs to have good conditions: he/she should have sufficient background materials in advance and should be aware of important circumstances of the meeting.
PEspecially simultaneous interpreting ranks among the most psychically demanding activities, therefore interpreters should alternate regularly (approximately each 20 minutes) and they should have good visual contact with speakers.
We offer the following types of interpreting:
- consecutive – the interpreter translates shorter segments (typically sentences, ideas). This type of interpreting is used mainly for business meetings or trainings.
- simultaneous – the interpreter translates concurrently with the speaker. This type is used for conferences and congresses, and requires interpreting equipment that can be provided by our company if requested.
- chuchotage – the interpreter sits next to the client and whispers the translation concurrently with the speaker’s address. It is used mainly for small conferences and meetings. This type of interpreting is suitable for maximum two clients, then the interpreter sits between them to interpret the contents of the lecture or the discussion.
